Fusion and Hair Growth

I AM CONSTANTLY ASKED IF FUSION IS DAMAGING TO THE HAIR. MY ANSWER: WITH PROPER APPLICATION, MAINTANENCE AND REMOVAL, NO.

The client below has been with me for about 2 years. Her hair was damaged because of the relaxer+highlight combo. We really need to choose one or the other because that combination can be EXTREMLY damaging. I didn't want to cut the highlighted hair all off because that would have taken her too short So I worked around it and gave her a list of recommended products. I then highlighted the fusion extension hair to match her hair and did a custom texture to match the frizzy texture caused by that strong chemical. I had to apply fusion bonds to 75% of her head.

Today her hair has just about grown out of the color and is much healthier. She didn't go through that awful in between stage (that we all hate) because of the fusion extensions. She took great care of her hair and never missed a maintenance appointment. Now that her hair is more healthy she decided she wanted a change. She wanted a bob with full bangs so I obliged. I added fusion extensions to about 25% of her head, mostly highlights. I then cut her hair into that bob that she wanted. With a few more haircuts all that color and damage will be cut out but in the meantime she is enjoying a GREAT head of MUCH healthier hair.
